Little dragon hat for a boy, knitted and crocheted. Knitted cap “Dragon” Crochet pattern for dragon hats for boys

An original hat for a little boy in the shape of a dragon’s head, with a crest and bright eyes, knitted in such a way that it also replaces a scarf. In addition, it is lined. It is put on like a helmet and fits tightly around the child's face.

It is advisable to knit such a hat from wool blend yarn. The main part of the hat is knitted from greenish yarn, imitating dragon scales. And the comb, made of bright orange yarn, is crocheted and, thanks to the tightness of the knitting, stands upright on the child’s head, as it should be.

To knit the fabric of the hat we will use needles No. 3, double-edged. We will knit the comb with crochet number 5 and use a thicker thread, or fold it in half.

You will need a little fabric for the lining, a piece measuring 40x25 cm.

The knitting pattern for the hat is stockinette stitch.

Technique for making a children's hat with knitting needles

We cast on the needles the initial 6 loops (pt). We mark the beginning, close the circle by distributing stitches across the knitting needles. We knit in circular rows (k/r).

1st k/r: all front knits (lcpt).

2nd k/r: knit 2 sts from each st = 12 sts.

We perform the 3rd row and all odd rows according to the figure.

4th k/r: we knit 2 sts from every second st = 18 sts.

6th k/r: we knit 2 sts from every third st = 24 sts.

8th k/r: we knit 2 sts from every fourth st = 30 sts.

10th k/r: we knit 2 sts from every fifth st = 36 sts.

We continue in the same spirit until the 32nd row.

32 k/r: we knit 2 lcpt from every sixteenth st = 102 st.

33-52 k/r: knit in the round without changing the number of stitches.

53rd k/r: we begin to form the window for the face. To do this, close off 20 sts and knit the remaining 82 sts with two knitting needles.

Row 54: knit in straight rows, unrolling the knitting. We knit 82 purl stitches (purl stitches).

Rows 57-86: work on two knitting needles in straight rows kl/ch.

87th row: knit stitches 38 and 39 together as a single stitch with a slant to the left; We also knit stitches 40 and 41 together like lts, only with a slant to the right; knit the rest of the stitches in hl/hl = 76 sts.

Rows 88-90: knit hl/hl straight.

Row 91: knit together 37 pts with 38 slanted to the left, and 39 with 40 slanted to the right = 74 pts.

Row 92: purl all over.

Row 93: all lcpt. At the end of the row we cast on 4 ch (chain stitches).

94th row: all p. At the end of the row we cast 4 ch = 82 pt.

Row 95: all lcpt.

Row 96: purl all over.

97th row: all lcpt. At the end of the row we cast on 10 ch and close the circle.

We make the cuts on the sides: for the back part we select 50 pts, for the front part - 42 pts. We knit these parts separately, adding a length of 12-15 cm. We close all stitches.

Dragon's comb

Take a hook and knit 6 isosceles triangles with orange yarn. We will knit stlb/bn.

Here's one triangle.

1st row: form a sliding stitch. We knit 7 stitches around the sliding stitch; dial 1 ch; unfolding the work.

2nd row: in each stitch of the base we knit 1 tb/bn (this is 4 pt); in pt, which will be the top of the triangle, we knit 3 tb/bn; in each of the remaining sts of the base we knit 1 stb/bn; unfolding the work.

3rd row: in the first stitch we knit 2 dc/bn; in each of the next four, 1 stb/bn; at the top 3 stb/bn; in 4 pt the following one dc/bn; on the last pt we knit 2 tb/bn; 1 ch; unfold.

4th row; in each of the 7 pts we knit one dc/bn; we knit 3 tbsp/bn at the top; again in each of the 7 pts we knit one dc/bn; 1 ch.

We tie the base of the triangle with stb/bn.

We sew the finished triangles to the hat with a crochet hook.

We embroider the eyes with white yarn (or knit circles of white yarn and attach them to the hat) and attach the pupils.

We insert the lining into the hat: first sew it in the face area, then fasten it to the top of the head and then sew it at the bottom. Along the bottom edge of the cape scarf we make a decorative basting with orange thread.

Knitting technique - jacquard;
Yarn - BRILLIANT (45% wool (laster), 55% acrylic; 100 g/380 m) - black and red;
Hook - No. 2.5;
Dimensions - OG 55cm, depth 20cm;
Additionally, the hat will be insulated with fleece.

We start knitting with a magic ring:

And then according to the increase scheme up to the 16th row:

1st row: 6 sc; put them in a magic ring
2nd row: 6+6 RLS; from each sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in round row 12
3rd row: 12+6 RLS; from every 2nd sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in round row 18
4th row: 18+6 RLS; from every 3rd sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in round row 24
...
16th row: 90+6 RLS; from every 15th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 96

I chose the shape of the future hat - a classic round cap.
With my knitting density, 16 knitted rows are 10 cm in diameter:
17th row: 96 RLS; we knit a row without increments; total number of sc in circular row 96
18th row: 96+6 RLS; from every 16th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 102
19th row: 102+6 RLS; from every 17th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 108
20th row: 108+6 RLS; from every 18th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 114
21st row: 114 RLS; we knit a row without increments; the total number of sc in the circular row is 114; The diameter of the bottom is 12cm.
22nd row: 114+6 RLS; from every 19th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 120
23rd row: 120+6 RLS; from every 20th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 126
24th row: 126+6 RLS; from every 21st sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 132
25th row: 132 RLS; we knit a row without increments; the total number of sc in the circular row is 132; The diameter of the bottom is 14.5 cm.
26th row: 132+6 RLS; from every 22nd sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 138
27th row: 138+6 RLS; from every 23rd sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 144
28th row: 144+6 RLS; from every 24th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 150
29th row: 150 RLS; we knit a row without increments; the total number of sc in the circular row is 150; Bottom diameter 16cm.

30th row: 150+6 RLS; from every 25th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 156
31st row: 156+6 RLS; from every 26th sc we knit 2 sc; total number of sc in circular row 162
32nd row: 162+3 RLS; from every 54th sc we knit 2 sc; the total number of sc in the circular row is 165; Bottom diameter 18cm.
33rd and 34th rows: 165 RLS; we knit without increases; the total number of sc in the circular row is 165; these rows are the beginning of the crown of the cap.
35th row: 165 RLS;

The dragon can be placed on the crown of the hat as you wish, i.e. at least on the forehead.
The middle of my Dragon is located on 22 sc of the 2nd wedge. In general, the main part of the Dragon is knitted in the 2nd wedge of the hat.
With a pin, I just marked the middle of the Dragon diagram for myself.

The shape of the bottom is already visible
We begin to introduce the red thread (in my case) into knitting 3 sc before the start of knitting the dragon itself.
You don’t have to tighten the inserted thread yet! The main thing is to lay it carefully, as if behind the working surface, then it will hide and will not be visible at all.
We knit 2 full sc, and knit the 3rd sc in half, i.e. as in photo No. 10.
Now working thread We throw the BLACK color onto the knitted fabric and pull it tightly
The red thread becomes working! We complete the untied sc with this.
According to the diagram, the first row of the Dragon is 1 sc in red; 3 sc for black; 1 red sc - then fasten the red thread under 3 sc and cut it off, leaving a tail of about 2cm.

And now, in order:
We knit RLS in half with red thread
We throw the red thread onto the knitted fabric and finish the unknitted sc with a black thread.
We knit 2 complete SCs with a black thread and the 3rd one not completely, throw the black thread onto the knitted fabric and use a red thread (which needs to be pulled up, as it were) to finish the unknitted SC.

An untied black sc is done so that the red sc is in its place and does not move out, and vice versa.
We knit a red sc in half and finish it with a black thread, also throwing the red thread onto the knitted fabric.
We knit 3 full sc with a black thread, hiding the red thread under them, or rather almost BEHIND them. Now we cut the red thread, leaving a tail of about 2 cm. Next, we finish the circular row with black thread.
The back of the first row should look like this:

36th row: 165 RLS;
We introduce the red thread 3 sc before starting to knit the Dragon according to the pattern; knit - 1 sc red; 3 sc for black; 2 red sc - then fasten the red thread under 3 black sc and cut it leaving a tail of about 2cm.

We finish the 3rd sc, under which the red thread was hidden, with this very red thread.
We finish the sc with a red thread and finish it with a black thread.

We knit 2 full sc with a black thread and under-knit the 3rd one, finishing it with a red thread.

With a red thread we knit 1 SC complete and 1 not complete, finishing it with a black thread.
Next, we hide the red thread under 3 black sc and cut it, leaving a tail of about 2 cm. We mark the knitted row of the Dragon as completed and finish the circular row of the crown with black thread.
37th row: 165 RLS;
We introduce the red thread 3 sc before starting to knit the Dragon according to the pattern; knit 7 sc in red - then fasten the red thread under 3 sc in black and cut it off leaving a tail of about 2cm.

In this way we knit the entire Dragon, guided by the attached diagram.
A mandatory requirement is to CUT THE RED THREAD, LEAVING THE TAILS!
The main thing in jacquard is the uniform density of knitting and the denser it is, the better. Your fingers can and will hurt, from stress and anxiety, doing something wrong, but how else? And when the hands are pulled in... they can no longer be stopped, they themselves

69th row: 165 RLS; We knit only with black thread.
70th and 71st rows: 165 sc in each row; We knit ONLY with red thread.
72nd row: 165-6 RLS; we knit a row with black thread, evenly distributing 6 decreases - (25 sc; knit 26 and 27 together; 26 sc; knit 27 and 28 together) - repeat 3 times.
73rd row: 159 RLS; We knit only with black thread.
REMEMBER that MK is built on the basis of MY knitting density personally!!! Therefore, you must know exactly how many rows you need to knit for the final depth of the finished product.

Dragon height - 34 rows
The gap between the Dragon and the circular stripe is 1 row
Circular stripe - 2 rows
The final part of the crown - 2 rows

After completely finishing knitting the hat, do not rush to cut off the tails sticking out on the wrong side! Someone will definitely wash the hat, someone will try it on, someone will simply stretch it to align the rows (as I personally did), etc. As a result of these manipulations, the ponytails will be shortened accordingly, styling them in a way that is convenient only for them and how they will live their lives in the future. Well, having undergone all the tests, you can cut them off at the root with a clear conscience, so that they do not distort the finished appearance of the finished product!

You will need: 100 g of blue and a little orange, black and white acrylic yarn of medium thickness; hook No. 4.5; wool needle.

Competition work No. 41– Knitted hat“Little Dragon” (Vlad Molodykh) ()

For knitting you will need: Pekhorka beaded LLC Pekhorsky Textiles Russia, hook No. 2.5

The hat is crocheted with two threads for a boy a little over a year old. I knitted it without patterns; I found the idea for such a hat on a website that sells a variety of clothes. There this hat was made with knitting needles.

As a basis, I took an ordinary hat made of double crochets and attached ears to it in the shape of a dragon’s paw (three fingers). Next I knitted the spine using single crochets. For him, I knitted 6 round pieces of different sizes and folded them in half. I tied them all together without any increases. I stuffed it a little with stuffing and sewed it to the hat.

The tail is also a round piece, but I made additions there only in two opposite places, I also folded it in half and sewed it up so that there was a hole in the middle. Then I tied the hole and made a slight increase and knitted about 10 rows without increases with single crochets.
The tail was also lightly stuffed with stuffing and sewn to the hat under the ridge.
Then I tied the eyes - these are also small rounds with a sharp narrowing, so that they were in the form of balls. I also added a little filler to them. Then she tied the teeth. this is 20 v.p. 5 loops for each tooth. I knitted 5 single crochets, then turned the product over and reduced the loops to 3, then turned the product over again and knitted these 3 stitches together. Then, without cutting the thread, I hid it with wrong side tooth and took it back to the beginning of 20 loops and knitted the second tooth, etc. Then she sewed the eyes and teeth to the hat.
I embroidered the pupils and nose with a needle.
I've been knitting for a little over 10 years. I tried this for the first time at school during a labor class in the 5th grade. I liked it very much, and have never parted with the crochet hook ever since. I also try my hand at knitting and cross stitch. Later I want to learn fork knitting
