A knitted earflap hat is one of the most important accessories for the coming winter. Men's, women's and children's earflaps will not only keep you warm in the cold, but will also help complement your stylish winter look!

Not all men like hats. But a crocheted earflap hat will appeal to even the most fastidious representative of the stronger half of humanity.

To create a model with size 60 you will need:

  1. Light beige fancy yarn – 100 g.
  2. Light brown wool yarn – 100 g.
  3. Hooks: 4.5, 8.
  4. Schematic drawing.

The following abbreviations will be used in the job description:

  • P. - loop;
  • R. – row;
  • Art. b/n – single crochet.

Training master class on making earflaps for a young guy or man:

  1. Knitting starts from the crown. Using a size 4.5 crochet hook from wool yarn, a sliding loop is formed.
    Next, perform 6 tbsp. b/n.
  2. Then the number of stitches is doubled and 2 p. are formed.
  3. Winter earflaps are knitted in circular rows.
  4. Until the diameter of the product grows to 18.5 cm in each r. 6 increments are performed.
  5. After this, the fabric is knitted straight until the height of the cap reaches 20 cm.
  6. The finished cap is bent along the last r. the bottom, and the row is tied with a “crawfish step”.
  7. From the middle of the earflaps, 13 cm is marked on both sides.
  8. Using crochet hook No. 8 with fancy yarn, a visor is knitted in this section.
  9. The visor is performed art. b/n. Its length is 10 cm plus another 2 cm, in which 1 tbsp is missing at the end of each row. b/n.
  10. Using fancy yarn and st. b/n another 2 cm of canvas is formed.
  11. Then the “ears” are created. The length of each ear is 20 cm and the width is 12.
  12. At the tips of the “ears” the same roundings are made as on the visor.
  13. The edge of a warm hat is tied with wool yarn, st. b/n.
  14. On each “ear”, ties are made from air loops, at least 30 cm long.

Stylish women's hat with earflaps

To make a women's model size 57 you will need:

There are 2 patterns used in this work:

  1. The main one is knitted in st. b/n. In this case, the hook is threaded under both parts of the loop from the previous row.
  2. Finishing - consists of half double crochets.

Step by step instructions:

The hat is not only warm, but also elegant. It can be worn at the beginning of winter or worn in the cold autumn.

This model is more suitable for a woman, but for a young girl you can knit the “Severyanochka” hat:

To learn how to knit such a pattern, you need to watch a short instructional video.

Children's hat with earflaps

This two-layer model is ideal for babies. It fits tightly to the head and the ears remain closed. Even a novice craftswoman can knit such a hat. To make a children's headdress you will need:

  1. Skein of yarn “Lotus grass stretch”.
  2. Hook number 4.
  3. 50 g white acrylic yarn for interior decoration.
  4. 70 g of gray yarn if the hat is knitted for a boy or the same amount of pink yarn if the product is made for a girl.

Abbreviations and designations used in MK:

  • S.s. – connecting column;
  • V. p. - air loop;
  • Art. b/n – single crochet;
  • Ps. s/n - half-column, double crochet.

The increase consists of 2 tbsp. b/n in 1 loop.

Detailed tutorial:

For a girl, you can knit a pink earflap using the same principle:

Or a charming yellow hat like in the photo:

The earflap hat is not a new trend, but we have the power to turn it into a real novelty! To do this, it is enough to show a little imagination and decorate the finished product with original embroidery, bumbons, fur, rhinestones or knitted appliqués.

Crochet hat with earflaps. To crochet a hat with earflaps we will need (head circumference - 52 cm): - gray yarn for the outer hat - 50-70 g. (I used yarn without a label, possible composition - acrylic + wool, approximate footage, 50 g. = 100-130 m.); - white (or any other) color yarn for the inner hat (I used Schachenmayr Idena Plus acrylic yarn, 100% acrylic, 50 g. = 133 m.) - approx. 50 gr. - some yarn "Lotus Grass Stretch"; - hook No. 4; Description of knitting: Before starting knitting, I recommend calculating the maximum diameter of the bottom of the hat, based on the circumference of the baby’s head: From the formula for circumference C=2R=D, where C is the circumference, R is the radius, D is the diameter, is the constant Pi(3, 14), we get D=C/ In my case, with a head circumference C=52 cm, the maximum diameter is D=52/3.14=16.56 cm. Designations used: ch - chain loop sc - single crochet hdc - half double crochet ss - connecting stitch Increase - 2 single crochets in one loop 1. Knit the outer cap: 1st row: 2 ch, close in a ring, then knit in a circle 6 sc [= 6] 2nd row: 6 Increase [=12] 3rd row: (Inc, 1sc)*6 times [=18] Row 4: (Inc, 2sc)*6 times [=24] Row 5: (Inc, 3sc)*6 times [=30] Row 6: (Inc, 4sc) *6 times [=36] Row 7: (Increase, 5sc)*6 times [=42] Row 8: (Increase, 6sc)*6 times [=48] Row 9: (Increase, 7sc)*6 times [= 54] Row 10: (Inc, 8sc)*6 times [=60] Row 11: (Inc, 9sc)*6 times [=66] Row 12: (Inc, 10sc)*6 times [=72]. We get a circle with a diameter of approx. 11 cm. Next we knit with increases through the row 13 row: 72sc [=72] 14th row: (Increase, 11sc)*6 times [=78] 15th row: 78sc [=72] 16th row: (Increase, 12sc)*6 times [=84] We get a circle with a diameter of 16.5 cm. This is the maximum diameter of the hat for a head circumference of 52 cm (see calculation above). Next, we knit without increases to the required length of the cap (approximately to the level of the eyebrows): 17-36 rows (20 rows): 84 sc [= 84] Next, conditionally divide the 84 columns of the crown into 4 parts: 24 columns each for the front and back parts of the hat, and 18 stitches per “ears” and to form the ears and the back (more in-depth) part of the hat, we move from circular knitting to knitting in front and back rows. Please note that at this stage you need to start shaping the bevels of the ears, for this I recommend that you first read the advice below. 1st (front) row: we knit the stitches of one “ear”, then the stitches of the back part and the stitches of the second “ear” 18+24+18=60 sc [=60] 2nd (purl) row: 60 ss for one half-loop of the stitches of the previous row. Please note that all purl rows are necessary to return to the beginning of the previous knit row without tearing the thread. 3rd (front) row: knit in the same way as the first row, inserting a hook between the columns of the 1st row and under-knitting 1 column on each side to form a bevel. 17+24+17=58 sbn [=58] 4th (purl) row: 58 ss for one half-loop of stitches of the previous row. 5th (front) row: knit similarly to the first row, inserting a hook between the posts of the 3rd row. leaving 1 stitch untied on each side to form a bevel 16+24+16=56 sc [=56] Tip: to form bevels on both sides of the ears at the beginning and end of each row you need to unknit 1 stitch. To do this, I recommend: - at the beginning of each front row, do not knit a chain stitch, but start knitting directly from a single crochet and insert the hook into the hole between the stitches of the previous row, which is located slightly to the left of the loop on the hook, and not directly under it (i.e. . e. in the second gap of the previous front row), - at the end of the front row, knit the last 2 loops together as follows: Invisible crochet decreases - in the purl rows, lifting air loops are also not needed. For the first connecting loop, it is necessary to insert the hook into the second loop from the hook, i.e. also into the second gap of the previous row. Next, we move on to forming the ears; to do this, we continue to knit in the same way with straight and reverse rows only on the loops of one ear to the required length (in my case, each ear consists of 14 front rows). Do not forget to form bevels on both sides. After the first eye is completely knitted, we wrap the thread and knit the second eye in the same way. 2. Similarly, we knit the inner hat from acrylic or other soft yarn. During the knitting process, I recommend placing the inner cap into the outer one to check that their sizes match. It may happen that, due to differences in the thickness of the yarn, the inner cap may be wider than the outer one, or, conversely, much narrower. In this case, you will have to reduce/increase the number of loops at the stage of forming the bottom of the hat. Having reached the stage of knitting the ears of the inner hat, we move on to knitting with Lotus Grass Stretch yarn. This is necessary so that the inside of the ears is fluffy - this, in my opinion, turns out warmer and prettier. 3. When both hats are knitted, we put one inside the other and join them together, tying them along the entire bottom edge (including the ears) with single crochets using Lotus Grass Stretch yarn. We sew the tops (the beginning of knitting) of the hats together with several hidden stitches. 4. We knit the visor with single crochets in front and back rows. Knit to the desired length. Then we sew the visor to the hat using hidden stitches. 5. We knit ties: on the central loops of the lower edge of each ear we knit 4 single crochets. Next, we knit with front and back rows of 4 sc in each row to the required length. Please note that the ties stretch as you wear them, so I recommend knitting them tighter. Tip: to “fluff” elements knitted from Lotus Grass Stretch yarn, you can use Velcro tape, or rather the part of it that consists of small hooks.

Hats with ears are very popular today. They are worn by children, men and women. It is quite easy to knit and comfortable to wear. Ushanka hat is practical and warm.

Here are diagrams with descriptions of the simplest products for the whole family.

The men's model is distinguished by the absence of decorations and unnecessary elements. Beginner needlewomen should start with this one. Needlewomen always start learning with the simplest option.
To make a hat, we will need yarn - approximately 100g and straight knitting needles No. 4.

Main drawing. We will work with knitting needles using the most common pattern - garter stitch. If you are already familiar with this drawing.

Step-by-step photo of MK knitting a hat with earflaps

The most difficult part of a hat is the top or bottom.

The man's hat is almost ready - all that remains is to sew it.
To sew the hat we use a hook. If you know how to crochet the edges of a product, then use the crab step technique. This will give the product neatness and completeness.

Beautiful and warm model for women

Women are also not averse to adding earflaps to their wardrobe. Women's clothing is not so restrained in its elements; for example, you can use imitation fur for decoration. Materials for work. We will need thick yarn and large knitting needles - No. 7. You will also have to buy a fur ribbon for decoration.

Work progress:

A product for women is nowhere without decent jewelry. Use a strip of fur ribbon you have saved for this and the knitted hat is ready.

Fluffy hat for girls

In the photo there is a hat with earflaps for a girl, in which “Travka” yarn is used for finishing.
A children's hat begins with the calculation of the loops. Their total number should be divided by 4, plus 4 pcs. The main pattern is double elastic. Knitting from the cast-on row to the beginning of the formation of the crown continues with this particular pattern.

When there are 5-7 cm left to the end, we put marks and divide the canvas into 4 parts.

From each division loop we make decreases before and after.

We knit 3 stitches together through a row. You should now have 4 wedges. The base is ready.

Now we turn it over and from the bottom side, in those places where the ears and visor should be, we collect loops.

The size of the visor and ears depends on your preferences and the size of your child's head. Of course, any master will not forget to round them to the bottom.

The earflaps look just great. You can appreciate this in the photo above. If the ears will be tied at the top, sew on the laces.

Stylish and fashionable earflaps model for boys

For a boy, we choose darker threads; various braids can be used as designs.
If you don't know how to knit braids, here's a diagram. These braids are perfect for both boys and girls.
The master class begins with lace ties. You can get two absolutely identical parts only by working with two skeins of yarn. This pattern for boys involves the use of circular knitting needles.

  1. When the ears are ready, make a set of loops between the threads for the frontal (+ 40 pcs.) and occipital parts (+ 20 pcs.).
  2. There is no visor in the circuit, so the task is simplified. Continue knitting in the round with an elastic band 2*2 - approximately 5 cm in height.
  3. After the elastic band, move on to the braid pattern. Depending on the volume of the boy’s head, rapport will have to be repeated 8-9 times. The master can easily navigate the dimensions.
  4. Decrease according to the general pattern, close the last stitches.

The product for the boy is ready.

Collection of MK photos with a description of knitting a hat with earflaps

Nothing will warm you up like a knitted hat with earflaps. Let's look at a master class on knitting a hat with earflaps for women, let's try to knit a male and a children's model of such a headdress for a boy and a girl. Scheme and step-by-step photos are attached.

Master class on knitting hats with earflaps for women

A women's hat is knitted from one skein of thread. Although it all depends on the knitted density of the hat with earflaps. You will also need knitting needles number 3, which will make the product quite dense and warm. If you are comfortable working with circular knitting needles, then use them.

The knitting master class for women will begin with a set of six stitches from which garter stitch is made. In new lines, the links should be increased by one piece on both sides. Continue knitting until the number of links increases from six to twenty. There is no need to make additions after this. Continue to complete the master class until the length of the eyelet that you need. The photo shows this stage of work.

Then the main part of the product begins. To do this, cast on seventeen buttonholes with knitting needles, then grab twenty pieces for the first eye, and then there are thirty-seven pieces of the central part and twenty loops of the second eye. Add 17 additional buttonholes. The four stripes need to be knitted again using garter stitch. The number of stripes should be equal to the depth of the hat with earflaps. You can do knitting like knitting. loops, and the pattern you like. In the photo you can see the knitted star pattern. For beginning needlewomen, this pattern will be very easy to repeat. In each line you need to knit 2 faces. p., then 3 p. are performed as one knit stitch, yarn over and knit 1 again. etc. Such manipulations must be performed to the very end, completing the row with a purl loop.

Now let's start knitting the upper part of the hat with earflaps. The master class involves knitting only faces. loops, as well as reducing them on the sides. Simply put, you must knit the loops together until their total number reaches thirteen. After this, you need to pull them together and make a connecting seam on the back of the hat. The lapel of the headdress is very simple to do. Cast on thirty-three loops along the edge of the frontal part of the product and tie them face down to the desired height, as shown in the photo.

For beauty, make 2 stitches in the last lapel strip and close the links. Decorate the hat with knitted flowers. As you have already seen, a hat with earflaps for women is very simple and quick to make.

Knitted men's hat with earflaps

The next master class will teach you how to knit a men's earflap hat. The scheme of work will also appeal to beginning needlewomen. In your work, use yarn consisting of wool and acrylic, as well as knitting needles number 4. Garter stitch is performed by alternating knit and purl rows with knit stitches.

Cast on twelve links and knit in the manner described above, adding one piece to each strip on both sides until you have twenty buttonholes. Next, knit 16 r. in a straight line. Start a new row by casting on eight buttonholes, and then knitting another twenty-two rows in a straight line. Set the work aside and complete the second eyelet in the same way.

To knit the visor, you need to cast on twenty-two loops and also make the pattern described above, adding two pieces to each strip on both sides. You should have a total number of buttonholes - thirty pieces. Then knit twenty-six r. in a straight line, as shown in the photo.

The men's hat with earflaps is not finished yet. You also need to connect the blanks according to this diagram: the right ear with the visor and with the left ear. Knit straight forty r. In the first strip, you should cross the loops at their junctions to avoid the formation of holes. Then make a uniform decrease in every 2 r. seven buttonholes each. You should have nine left. Pull them together with thread, and then make a seam by bending the visor. The edges of the earflap hat should be crocheted with single crochets. This completes the master class, and a simple men's earflap hat is completely ready.

Knitting a baby hat

A children's hat with earflaps is knitted for a boy in the same way as for a girl. The only difference is the choice of yarn color, as well as the creation of a beautiful decor that little fashionistas love. Therefore, we offer you a short lesson on knitting a headdress for a boy. The children's work scheme will be clear even to beginners.

Cast on seventy-two buttonholes using size 3 needles. Next, knit an elastic band two by two. Its height should be fifteen centimeters. Then knit 3 purls together in the new strip. p. Then knit 2 knits together. p. You should have an elastic band one on one. In the fifth row, follow the pattern according to the drawing. In the sixth, you need to knit all the buttonholes in two pieces. Transfer unused links to an additional tool and tighten them.

For the ears, you need to cast on five pieces with knitting needles number 4 and knit using the garter method. In the third, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh row, add 1 stitch on each side. Then knit fifteen lines again in garter stitch. Having set aside one workpiece, proceed to the second. Between the finished ears, you should cast on ten yarn overs and switch to knitting needles number 3. In the first line, add 3 stitches from each side and knit a two-by-two elastic band. Having completed four centimeters, close the links.

The boy's hat is not finished yet. The last thing to do is the visor. The visor must be made with double thread. Cast on 25 stitches and make garter stitch eight centimeters. Make decreases in the last strip, and then close the buttonholes. All that remains is to sew all the hat blanks, and we can assume that the boy’s headdress is ready. We invite you to watch the video material from which you will learn how to knit a winter hat with earflaps for a boy.

The pink baby threads are from Yarnart, and the white happy threads are from Yarnart.

WINTER SET

AuthorI'm Ninel: Now a little description:
The hat is assembled from two hats of the same size.

Bottom cap (lining) - Thread "pouf" (100 g - 140 m) white - almost the entire skein is gone.Knitted with double crochets.

Top hat yarn "YarnArt" Gold (100 g 400 m) color: champagne with gold, more than half of the skein was gone, although I hoped that 400 m would be enough for 2 hats. Knitted with single crochets. I connected and tied the pouf around the edge with threads.
The scarf was knitted with knitting pattern "rice" yarn "pekhorka children's whim" white (100 g 200 m) crocheted along the edge with "poof" threads, where the skein ended.
I crocheted the mittens in single crochet stitches, the lining of the mitten itself was made of fleece, I couldn’t crochet the elastic band no matter how hard I tried, so I knitted it on 4 knitting needles in the classic way and just sewed it on

CAP- USHANKA HOOK

MK on a hat from Natalia Grukhina: Children's two-layer knitted hat with earflaps.

This is a comfortable, practical and very warm crocheted hat with earflaps. It fits perfectly on the head and warms even in the most severe cold, and if it is not very cold outside, then the ears of the hat can be tied at the top or at the back of the head.
The difficulty of knitting this pattern is low, in other words, even someone who is just starting to master crocheting can knit such a hat.

To crochet a hat with earflaps we will need (head circumference - 52 cm):

Gray yarn for the outer hat - 50-70 g.
(I used yarn without a label, possible composition - acrylic + wool, approximate footage, 50 g. = 100-130 m.);
- white (or any other) color yarn for the inner hat (I used Schachenmayr Idena Plus acrylic yarn, 100% acrylic, 50 g. = 133 m.) - approx. 50 gr.
- some yarn "Lotus Grass Stretch";
- hook No. 4;

Knitting description:
Before starting knitting, I recommend calculating the maximum diameter of the bottom of the hat, based on the circumference of the baby’s head:
From the formula for circumference C=2R=D, where C is the circumference, R is the radius, D is the diameter, and is the constant Pi(3.14), we obtain D=C/
In my case, with a head circumference C=52 cm, the maximum diameter is D=52/3.14=16.56 cm.

Symbols used:
VP - air loop
sc - single crochet
psn - half double crochet
ss - connecting post
Increase - 2 single crochets in one loop

We knit the outer hat:
1st row: 2 ch, close in a ring, then knit in a circle 6 sc [= 6]
2nd row: 6 Increases [=12]
3rd row: (Increase, 1sc)*6 times [=18]
4th row: (Increase, 2sbn)*6 times [=24]
Row 5: (Increase, 3sc)*6 times [=30]
Row 6: (Increase, 4sc)*6 times [=36]
Row 7: (Increase, 5sc)*6 times [=42]
Row 8: (Increase, 6sc)*6 times [=48]
Row 9: (Increase, 7sc)*6 times [=54]
Row 10: (Increase, 8sc)*6 times [=60]
Row 11: (Increase, 9sc)*6 times [=66]
Row 12: (Increase, 10sc)*6 times [=72]. We get a circle with a diameter of approx. 11 cm.
Next we knit with increases through the row
Row 13: 72sc [=72]
Row 14: (Increase, 11sc)*6 times [=78]
Row 15: 78sc [=72]
Row 16: (Increase, 12sc)*6 times [=84]
We get a circle with a diameter of 16.5 cm. This is the maximum diameter of the hat for a head circumference of 52 cm (see calculation above).
Next we knit without increments to the required length of the cap (approximately to the level of the eyebrows):
Rows 17-36 (20 rows): 84sc [=84]

Next, we conditionally divide the 84 columns of the crown into 4 parts: 24 columns each for the front and back parts of the hat, and 18 columns for the “ears” and to form the ears and the back (more in-depth) part of the hat we move from circular knitting to knitting in front and back rows .
Please note that at this stage you need to start shaping the bevels of the ears, for this I recommend that you first read the advice below.

1st (front) row: we knit the stitches of one “ear”, then the stitches of the back part and the stitches of the second “ear” 18+24+18=60 sc [=60]
2nd (purl) row: 60 ss for one half-loop of stitches of the previous row.
Please note that all purl rows are necessary to return to the beginning of the previous knit row without tearing the thread.
3rd (front) row: knit in the same way as the first row, inserting a hook between the columns of the 1st row and under-knitting 1 column on each side to form a bevel. 17+24+17=58 sc [=58]
4th (purl) row: 58 ss for one half-loop of stitches of the previous row.
5th (front) row: knit similarly to the first row, inserting a hook between the posts of the 3rd row. not tying 1 stitch on each side to form a bevel 16+24+16=56 sc [=56]

Advice: To form bevels on both sides of the ears at the beginning and at the end of each row, you need to unknit 1 column.
For this I recommend:
- at the beginning of each front row, do not knit a chain stitch, but start knitting directly from a single crochet and insert the hook into the hole between the stitches of the previous row, which is located slightly to the left of the loop on the hook, and not directly under it (i.e. in second space of the previous front row),

At the end of the front row, knit the last 2 loops together as follows:

- in purl rows, lifting air loops are also not needed. For the first connecting loop, it is necessary to insert the hook into the second loop from the hook, i.e. also into the second gap of the previous row.

Next we move on to ear formation, To do this, we continue to knit in the same way with straight and reverse rows only on the loops of one ear to the required length (in my case, each ear consists of 14 front rows).
Do not forget to form bevels on both sides.
After the first eye is completely knitted, we wrap the thread and knit the second eye in the same way.

We knit in the same way inner cap from acrylic or other soft yarn.

4. We knit the visor single crochets in knit and purl rows. Knit to the desired length. Then we sew the visor to the hat using hidden stitches.

5. Knitting ties: On the central loops of the lower edge of each ear we knit 4 single crochets. Next, we knit with front and back rows of 4 sc in each row to the required length.
Please note that the ties stretch as you wear them, so I recommend knitting them tighter.

Advice: to “fluff” elements knitted from Lotus Grass Stretch yarn, you can use Velcro tape, or rather the part of it that consists of small hooks
