Let’s do some handicrafts with you... remember, we have already started getting acquainted with? Let's move on to practice today and look at the papier-mâché thread technique. Let's start by figuring out how to make a cocoon from threads and think about what use it can be found... there are now quite a few different master classes on this topic on the Internet... I will tell you my approach to this type of creativity.

So let's get started...

papier-mâché from threads - how to make a cocoon

In order to make a “cocoon” from threads using the papier-mâché technique, we will need:

  • balloon
  • thread - ordinary sewing thread, but thick (it used to be marked as No. 10, now I don’t know... preferably cotton, (it’s just that cotton paper soaks in glue better), you can take thicker threads, you can even use rope, but then a little The technology for lubricating it with glue will change. Today we will work with a simple thread. However, I used two threads of different thickness (whatever was leftover was used)))
  • needle - long
  • glue. Here I want to say that I use STATIONERY glue (silicate), and not white (pva). Why? Firstly, I was taught this way a long time ago))), and secondly (and this is the main reason) when it hardens, office glue “glazes over” and becomes very hard, unlike PVA, which is quite plastic and “soft”, like rubber , and when dry it becomes like rubber...

After we have prepared all the components, we proceed directly to creativity))) we thread the end of the thread from the spool (ball) into the needle and pierce the jar of glue,
pull the thread through the glue, remove the needle
Now we will wrap the ball with thread, slowly pulling it through a jar of glue... The thread itself will be smeared and saturated with glue)))
How many threads do you need? According to your taste and desire))) It took me about two spools... When you decide that there is enough thread, just cut it... if you think that there is not enough glue on the thread, then take a regular brush and brush the glue over the surface of the cocoon, just don’t overdo it ))).

And forget about the craft until tomorrow... let it dry thoroughly)))
The cocoon has dried... it has become hard... take a needle and pierce the ball))). After that, we extract it from the cocoon...
My ball was torn into two parts... I just pulled the first one out by the “tail”, and to get the second one you need to either find a place where there is a fairly large gap between the threads or just make a hole with scissors. This is the basis of most crafts using the papier-mâché thread technique. That's what they do And some interior crafts, toys... my imagination, as of today, was only enough for a vase))).

How to make a vase from threads

We cut the cocoon into two unequal parts... In principle, these parts can already be adapted into a nest))) for....
or stuff it there)))….

but we will still move on...

and glue these two parts together, only upside down))) Actually, in the papier-mâché thread technique it is supposed to sew the parts together with thread, but in this case I need the fastening to be “rigid”, so I used adhesive with a pistol... The result is a vase made of threads...

I couldn’t think of anything smarter than how to cover the resulting vase with spray paint... In my opinion, it turned out quite well)))

Hello, dear readers! In today's master class, I want to tell you how to make a vase from threads. The process of making a vase will not take much time and effort, and the result will definitely please you. Such a vase made of threads will definitely fit perfectly into any interior and will arouse the interest of your guests... Well, let's get started!

For work we will need:

  • Salad bowl, bowl or plate (that is, select a plate that is suitable in shape);
  • Glue plate;
  • PVA glue;
  • Scissors;
  • Threads (preferably wool);
  • Foil;
  • Spray paint.

Cover the selected salad bowl with foil, fold the edges of the foil inside the plate.

We cut wool threads; the pieces of thread can be absolutely any (I cut them about 20 - 30 cm).

Pour PVA glue into a plate, in which we soak the cut pieces of thread.

We begin to apply the threads to the salad bowl covered with foil, you can glue the threads in a mess, as it turns out... I tried to recreate something similar to a nest, so I glued the threads first across, then along.

When all the prepared threads are glued, leave the vase to dry. A vase made of thread and glue will dry for about 24 hours.

After that, remove the wicker vase from the salad bowl and begin to carefully separate the foil from the threads. We begin to separate along the edges, from top to bottom, moving along the perimeter of the product.

When the foil is completely removed, cover the surface of the table with newspaper, place the vase bottom up, arm yourself with a can of paint, and begin spraying paint over the surface of the vase. By the way, a DIY vase made from thread looks much more impressive with a glossy sheen, so it’s better to purchase paint with shimmering particles (I used chrome paint).

When the paint dries, turn the vase upside down and paint the inside of it, then leave the product to dry again.

Since a vase made from threads turns out to be extremely light, it can be weighted with small stones or one large cobblestone, pre-painted to match the vase.

In such a vase you can store jewelry, knitting supplies, and simply use it as an independent decorative item!

Everyone has ever looked in their home for a container suitable for one small flower. For these purposes, I often use small glasses, but the flowers dangle in them. Today we offer you a very simple idea for creating a miniature vase from the simplest materials. You can make such a vase in just a couple of minutes. Also see the idea for filling it with cute flowers.

To create such a composition you will need:

The glass is about 5 cm in diameter;
- a balloon of the desired shade;
- floral wire/wire;
- foam balls of different sizes;
- paint of your choice + brush.

The process of creating a vase from a ball and a glass:

Take a glass and a balloon, and (starting from the bottom of the glass) pull the balloon onto the glass. This is the most difficult moment and may not work out on the first try. Now, press the top of the balloon in the glass (photo 3).

Cut two pieces of floral wire. One should be slightly longer than the other. Now, wrap the longer wire around the shorter one. This will help make the stem stronger, and it will also give it an interesting twisted metallic texture.

After the balls are dry, string them onto the “stem”. Can be secured with glue. Make a sufficient number of these “flowers” and place them in a vase. Also, this resemblance to craspedia flowers can be felted from wool, which will look no less stylish.

This composition can decorate a holiday table. It can be placed next to a bowl of fruit in matching colors, in this case lemon and lime, to add contrast. Nice and fresh... isn't it?
